yri.fi is now a registered trademark in the EU

yri.fi has been a trademark for a few years now and we thought it was time to protect it by registering it in the EU. The registration was made with the EUIPO, which is the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
Attorney Pamela Lönnqvist, a specialist in intellectual property law, at HH Partners Oy, handled the registration process. The process itself went relatively smoothly, mainly thanks to Pamela's expertise and experience in the industry.
For the registration of the trademark, we have received financial support from The Ideas Powered for Business - SME Fund, which is a grant program that aims to help EU-based small and medium-sized enterprises protect their intellectual property rights. The SME Fund is an initiative of the European Commission implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
The fact that yri.fi is a registered trademark will have an impact on our operations. We will start to think more about what customers expect from us and how we are perceived. Of course, the technical development of our systems will continue, although we will start to take more into account factors other than purely technical things.
